Andrew Schulz Facts

  1. He was raised in the East Village in Manhattan and his parents had owned a summerhouse on Long Island. He has recalled how he had wanted to go to college in a place where he could surf.
  2. He has disclosed that it was a great experience for him to attend UCSB and that he had chosen that school wholly based on the fact that it had the most attractive girls with the most perfect yoga-bodies.
  3. While going to college he used to work at a nearby restaurant.
  4. Andrew has dwelled on how he had struggled to have a breakthrough in a comedy industry in which a TV show or Netflix special had become the hallmark of success. He has gone on to reveal that in 2017, he had made up his mind to shoot his own special named 4:4:1 that was an NYC comedy experience only to find nobody interested to buy it. However, that had not dissuaded him and he had still thought it to be a good idea and had released it after cutting it down from 1 hour to 15 minutes, putting it up on YouTube. It had become a huge hit, having been viewed more than 2 million times.
  5. He has reflected on how the greatest thing that happened to him career-wise was getting turned down by every network that had led him to make his own money independently so that he could carry on doing the comedy that he had wanted to do.
  6. He had performed at the renowned Edinburgh Comedy Festival in 2008.
  7. Andrew has disclosed that the non-stop traffic in New York city has sometimes been draining for him, being enough to make him take a break and go away, having made him wonder as to who could possibly be up and about at 2 in the morning.
  8. He has believed that the fact that he has spoken to the reality of what his audience feels, having talked directly to their gut, has made him cut through age and racial demographics.
  9. He has more than a million followers on Instagram.
