Poorna Jagannathan is an American actress and producer who is known for her portrayal of Safar Khan in The Night Of, Nalini Vishwakumar in Never Have I Ever, and Menaka in Delhi Belly. Aside from that, she also produced and acted in the play Nirbhaya.
Poorna attended the University of Brasília. Later, she graduated with a degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park.
She was granted a scholarship to pursue her Master of Fine Arts in acting at the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in the past. However, she discontinued her studies shortly after completing a year.
She has trained in acting under the watchful eyes of actress and acting coach Elizabeth Kemp.
